What Is Vooz?
Vooz is a free random video chat and text chat site for adults (18+). You are paired with a stranger from anywhere in the world, in your browser, with no account needed. It was created by Omegle fans to keep what Omegle did best, instant random matching, and add what a modern anonymous chat should have: AI moderation, interest-based matching, friends, chat rooms and screen share.
Familiar, but better
Why choose Vooz as your Omegle alternative
Omegle made random chat simple: no profile, just someone new to talk to. Vooz keeps that simplicity and adds what random chat sites usually skip: real-time AI moderation, interest matching, friends, chat rooms and screen share. It is free to use, strictly 18+, and you can start without signing up.
Video chat and text chat
Turn your camera on for a random video chat, or keep it off and type. Video can show your face, voice and background, so check what is on camera first. You can switch between them seamlessly at any time.
Interest matching
Add a few interests and Vooz pairs you with people who want the same conversation, from gaming and music to travel and languages.
AI moderation in real time
Nudity and abuse are detected and blocked as they happen. One tap reports a user, and rule-breakers are banned.
Chat rooms
Join a chat room and talk with others instead of one stranger at a time. No account needed.
Screen share
Share your screen during a video chat to show what you are watching, playing or working on.

Random video chat Face-to-face conversations in real time Text chat with strangers Simple, fast, and private messaging Anonymous chat Talk without revealing your identity Omegle alternative The modern version of classic Omegle chatting Talk to strangers Discover people and cultures from around the world

Safety first
Safe by design: 18+ only, AI-moderated in real time
Vooz is strictly for adults: users must be 18 or older. Our AI moderation watches random video chats in real time to detect and block nudity and abuse, and every random chat has a Report button. An age rule does not guarantee who is on the other side of a conversation. Keep personal documents out of camera view, avoid sharing sensitive details and do not pressure anyone to continue chatting. If a chat makes you uncomfortable, click Next or leave. You do not need to stay to be polite. Before joining, read our community guidelines, terms of service and privacy policy, and see our safety page for more.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is Vooz the new Omegle?
Vooz is not affiliated with Omegle, which shut down in November 2023. It is an independent alternative that keeps the same simple random chat: you are matched with a stranger for a video chat or text chat. Unlike Omegle, Vooz is strictly 18+, and random chats are moderated in real time.
Is Vooz a free Omegle alternative?
Yes. Vooz is free to use. Open the site, pick video chat or text chat, and you are matched with a stranger in your browser without signing up, paying or downloading anything. Guests can join chat rooms too. An optional account adds friends, recent connections, private video calls and the ability to create Hangouts (audio chat rooms). Some extras, such as country and gender filters or profile customization, can involve paid access or earned points.
Can I use Vooz without signing up or logging in?
Yes. You can start chatting with strangers straight away, with no sign-up and no login. Your name, email and phone number are never required to chat. An account is optional: it lets you save people as friends, see your recent connections, make private video calls and create Hangouts (audio chat rooms).
Does Vooz have video chat and text chat?
Yes. Choose video chat to meet strangers face to face, or text chat if you would rather keep your camera off. Each mode has its own queue, and switching between them is seamless: you can change modes whenever you like, with no sign-up needed.
Is Vooz safe? How is it moderated?
Vooz uses real-time AI moderation that detects and blocks nudity and abusive behavior during random video chats. Private sessions, such as calls and messages between friends, are not monitored, and neither are Hangouts (user-created audio chat rooms). Every random chat has a Report button. Reports are handled automatically, and users who break the community guidelines can be banned temporarily or permanently. Vooz is strictly 18+. As on any chat site, never share personal details with strangers.
Do I need to be 18 to use Vooz?
Yes. Vooz is strictly for adults, and you must be 18 or older to use it. You confirm your age before you enter a chat, and accounts that break the age rule are suspended. If you are under 18, please do not use Vooz.
Does Vooz work on phone and desktop?
Yes. Vooz runs in your browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac, so there is no app to download. Open the site, allow your camera and microphone if you want to video chat, and you can start meeting strangers right away.
How does interest matching work?
Add a few interests, such as gaming, music, travel or languages, before you start. Vooz then prioritizes matching you with people who picked the same interests, so conversations start with something in common. Interests are optional, and you can skip to someone new at any time.
Can I talk to the same person again?
Yes. If you enjoy a conversation, add the person as a friend and you can reconnect later. Your recent connections are also listed, so you can find someone you chatted with recently even if you did not add them. Both features use an optional account.
What is the difference between Vooz and other Omegle alternatives?
Sites like Omegle and OmeTV usually offer random matching and little else. Vooz keeps the simple random matching and adds real-time AI moderation, a strict 18+ rule, interest matching, friends, chat rooms and screen share, and you can still start chatting without signing up.
